Dr. Katarina Tu

Dr. Tu is originally from Seattle, and initially pursued a career in architecture at UC Berkeley where she was also a coxswain on the NCAA winning women’s crew team. After a year she changed paths and returned home where she completed a double degree in biochemistry and chemistry as a Dean’s scholar at the University of WA. She went to UOP for dental school and completed an extra year of advanced training afterwards, where she earned the outstanding resident award. During this time she picked up a new hobby and completed 8 half marathons in a single year. She believes in providing quality patient care, and is pursuing a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, an award that recognizes going above and beyond in learning through rigorous continuing education. She is also a dedicated volunteer, giving back through outreach events and dental mission trips across the world. Despite having grown up in Seattle, she wants everyone to know she is a loyal 49ers fan.
